Our Design Process
A breathtaking landscape doesn't happen by accident — it is engineered by hand and built to scale. We combine classic landscape design diciplines with precise technical problem-solving to take your yard from its current state to a flawless, fully functional outdoor living space.
Every great design begins with listening to your goals, personal tastes and identifying your property's hidden structural flaws. ***We do require a copy of your official property survey or plot plan prior to initiating any design work.
On-site, we walk your property with you to understand your lifestyle, aesthetic goals, and budget. We analyze your plot plan to map out exact property lines, local township setbacks, easements, and existing structural footprints — then diagnose your site's specific pain points: pooling water, failing soil grades, and restricted walkway layouts and existing landscape assessment.
From there, your design is carefully mapped out by hand. The first initial design is reviewed and revised as necessary to achieve a collaberation of choices and specific preferences you may request and some that may need to be revised for budget reasons. The design process may take 2 to 3 meetings before a final design is ready to prepare. We will address grading and drainage plans if necessary, map out wide proportional walkways and patios, and hand-select a palette of native or ornamental foliage tailored precisely to your property's sunlight and soil conditions.
The Final Design Drawing: You receive your hand-drawn 2D As-Built Final Design Rendering, drafted strictly to scale — a comprehensive professional blueprint specifically addressing all areas and projects. Your final package includes a Master Plan View in 2D, a Universal Design Legend, and Technical Design Footnotes that dictate proper pitch, depth, and structural requirements.
Step 02
Material & Site Work
With your approved blueprint in hand, we bridge the gap between design and reality. Your hand-drawn 2 D master plan is accompanied by a custom Digital PDF Reference Library — a comprehensive binder that communicates every detail.
Every plant on your blueprint correlates to high-resolution images, mature growth sizes, and exact care instructions. Material specifications provide clear visual guides for the exact stone, pavers, lighting elements, and textures selected for your project.
Build services are available on a case-by-case basis.
Step 03
The Finished Space
The result is an outdoor space that works as hard as it looks. Structural frustrations are resolved. Drainage flows correctly. Walkways are wide and welcoming. The entrance commands attention.
